Our biggest update ever, BitLord 2.4.0-270, is now available!
So what is it we have been working on for the past year? First of all we decided the future is streaming. So, we have been working hard to improve our streaming capability. Now using our built in VLC Player, named BitLord Player, you should be able to start streaming any video or audio file pretty fast. Of course this depends on your internet connection. We will keep improving our streaming capabilities over the next months to make us the best torrent client in this aspect.
Secondly, we knew the old BitLord 2.3 and older versions were pretty slow to open and at times to operate. We have now changed platform from GTK over to Qt. This will help improve performance in all areas.
Thirdly we have given BitLord a new look and hopefully a more user friendly user interface.
Along all of these big changes we have made several improvements to the way the whole program works. The latest libtorrent is now running in the background. The video player has been upgraded with the latest codecs to help play even more files.
We hope everyone will enjoy this latest release. Do let us know if you run into any bugs or if there is something missing you would like us to add.

The program will not open. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Bitlord so many times and restarted my pc to try to get it to work but it just opens in my taskbar. When I click on the icon to maximize it, it shows that the program isn’t running. Help?
Hi Alfie. Can you try making a backup of the BitLord folder found in your %appdata% folder and then deleting the folder from %appdata%? Just to see if this can make BitLord open for you. To go to AppData just click Windows key + R and then type in %appdata%
the torrents are falling into errors again and again…PATHETIC!

Can you do me a favor and enable logging and sending me te log? It might help us solve this very strange random problem.
Go into Preferences – General and enable logging. Once you have done this, the next time you get an error like this, close BitLord and go to %appdata% in your Windows Explorer and send me the log.txt file that is in the BitLord folder there. This would greatly help us figure out what might be the problem 馃檪 send to leif at bitlord.com

YO!!!!!! AFTER INSTALLING THE NEW VERSION I LOST EVERYTHING ON MY DESKTOP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WTH?????
Hi Bitlord, can you please explain to me and your numerous fans, why the new and updated software is unable and ineffective in downloading. I was enjoying the old version but since the new version with coloured interface came up to download a pin with it is impossible. May we know why this is happening and how long is it going to take you to resolve this?
Hi. If you are not able to download there is most likely something with your PC that has happened. I recommend you keep trying. Restarting router, machine and BitLord to see if it starts functioning for you again.
I can’t get it to open at all. I’ve tried everything and get the same result .Seems to be a common issue . What can I do?

Hello…had Bitlord for some time now……out of the blue last night when I tried to right click a download it did not respond….I restarted my laptop and even uninstalled and reinstalled BL…to no avail. What is the problem?
Right click does not work???Can anybody help – is it a Win 10 thing
