BitLord now has more video subtitles

We just released a new version of BitLord where we improved how we fetch subtitles.

This means you will be given more options when clicking the subtitles icon. Instead of just looking for subtitles that match the exact video you are viewing – we now look for all subtitles with similar names. This will give you many more options and hopefully they will match your video. This means you might not get a perfect match all the time, but you will get more options and usually they will be correct as long as the name is similar.

BitLord for windows now with more search options

We have just released a new version with an improved search function. You are now able to search some of the best torrent sites much quicker, so if you cannot find a file on BitLordSearch you can try any of the other sources. We also added a history feature, so BitLord locally remembers your previous searches.

Say Jerry searches for “My friend Tom s01e02” then Jerry can easily just click that previous search and just edit the last number to search for “My friend Tom s01e03”

You are able to clear search history in “Preferences – Browser”

Hi all! Over the past months we have made several improvements to BitLord on Windows and Mac. Chromecasting is working better than ever, streaming videos is supported by more formats and we have updated our langauge support even more. I hope everyone is enjoying the continued development of what we think is the best bittorrent application out there.

We want to go mobile! So, recently we have started turning our focus to development of an Android app. If all goes as planned we should have a working version for our users to try in the near future. Our goal is of course to be the easiest torrent downloading and streaming app for android. So – stay tuned for more news! 🙂

Installer has been updated

Search engine problems

Sorry about the problems with our search engine today. We have to restore our database from a backup. Hopefully it will not take too long.

MacOS update! BitLord 2.4.6-337 is available for Apples ;)

Finally our MacOS version is up to date with the windows version! This is a big day 😀 let us get straight to the big updates:

– Chromecasting now works on Mac, even with a VPN enabled!
You can cast while streaming, but you need to download the file 100% to be able to skip forward.

– Added button to skip backwards 15 seconds in the UI.

– Updated Qt, LibTorrent and VLC (this means improvements in all areas)

Fixed black window – update #2

We finally think we have fixed the black window bug that Windows 7 and 8 users have been reporting. Please download the latest version and let us know if it fixes this issue.

What we do now is use software OpenGL for Windows 7 and 8.

Hi everyone. Quite a few users are having problems on Windows 7 and Windows 8 where BitLord only shows as a black window. We are working on fixing this. You might be able to fix the problem by updating your graphics card drivers. But in the mean time you can also downgrade to version 2.4.6-331 or older https://www.bitlord.com/previous-releases/

We will keep you updated once this horrible bug is fixed.
